Description

Primary Objective:

Provide legal advisory and/or review/drafting contracts or agreements and revert within stipulated turnaround time;
Attend to claims and litigation matters within stipulated timeframe;
Provide legal advisory on ad-hoc projects in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review and advise on a broad range of banking - related and commercial contracts.
Draft, review and advise on ISDA related matters.
Assist in handling dispute related matters.
Advise and participate in branch - related projects.
Working together with multiple internal stakeholders to prepare and advise on legal documentation, internal policies and procedures.
Manage external counsels effectively when engaged.
Keep abreast with the relevant laws and regulations relating to financial institutions.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Section Head of Legal.

Requirements

Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - Law.

At least 3-5 years’ related banking experience preferably acting as in-house counsel

Resourceful and a good team player
Good time management skills and ability to multi-task
Good communication and inter-personal skills
