Description

Primary Objective:
  • Manage and implement business development plans to grow Group Wholesale Banking (GWB) business in the area of Sustainable Financial Services.
  • Explore commercial opportunities and business pipelines for our Sustainable Financial Services.
  • Provide advice and support to customers in their ESG transition journey through our products and solution
  • Drive product innovation for sustainable financial services across GWB core business activities
  • Strategically support the execution of initiatives under GCAP, focusing on driving the business pillar and product ideation
  • Develop GWB’s Sustainable Financial Service capability
  • Go to person in GWB to validate the eligibility of ESG financial services classification and recognition.
  • Keep abreast with development of ESG regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage and implement business development plans to grow Group Wholesale Banking (GWB) business in the area of Sustainable Financial Service, supporting GWB SBG Heads in achieving division goals and objectives.
  • Work in collaboration with SBGs /SFGs and to provide leadership to the Sustainable Business Council (SBC) towards driving and delivering the Group’s Sustainable Financial Service aspiration and Key Performance indicators.
  • Identify ESG issues that are relevant to GWB and develop and implement strategies to address these issues.
  • Drive clients / customers engagement working with the relevant Business Leads in understanding their sustainability and de-carbonization strategy and support their transition through our products and solutions.   
  • Maintain strong engagement with internal stakeholders such as with Group Sustainability and Communication, relationship managers and product specialist to drive product innovation for sustainable financial services across GWB core business activities as well as support the execution of initiatives under GCAP, focusing on driving the business pillar and product ideation.
  • Track and monitor achievements of Sustainable Financial services KPIs and work with SBGs, SM team as well as the SBC to put in place measures to address gaps in performance.
  • Develop GWB’s organizational capability to provide Sustainable Financial Service to customers by providing on-the-job coaching to relationship managers and product specialists.
  • Go to person in GWB to validate the eligibility of ESG financial services classification and recognition.
  • Develop, review and improve procedures, policies, guidelines and work process relating to ESG.
  • Keep abreast with development of global and domestic ESG regulations and adopt best industry practices.
  • Analyse ESG/climate trends and implications in FI’s business context, towards ensuring that the Group’s Sustainable financial services strategy and KPIs remain relevant  

 

 

 

 

Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - Degree / MBA / Professional qualifications in Business, Accounting, Banking, Finance, Economics, Environmental and Social Governance, Sustainability, Law, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or other related disciplines.

- • Certification courses in Sustainability, e.g. Climate Change, Decarbonisation etc.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in ESG related field either from consulting firm, financial institutions or corporations.
  • Understand global and domestic ESG regulations.
  • Strong client facing skill with the capability to deliver high caliber client service function & solutions driven to support the Group’s businesses
  • Able to influence & negotiate with good stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to deliver a change / transformation program
  • Experience of working in a highly-matrixed environment & accustomed to bridging the gap between disparate organisations
  • Good analytical skill
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build & maintain relationships at all business levels
