• Drive and oversee the group asset management and trustees business covering operational administration aspect of the business in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
• Lead the management team in formulating, developing and implementing business strategies to meet targets set
• Manufacture, manage and increase the size of the Group’s portfolio of wholesale and retail funds, discretionary portfolio and the AUM under trust for both PDS, UT and REITS.
• Lead, guide, plan and implement effective strategies to achieve and exceed desired performance of the Malaysia Asset Management; conventional and Islamic businesses.
• Effectively engage with key stakeholders, i.e clients, board, partners.

Strategy and Planning

• Strategize and plan business direction of Group Asset Management and Trustees Business.
• Identify principal objectives, financial and other performance measures, as well as people and resource requirement for Group Asset Management and Trustees business.

Business Performance

• Together with the Regional Heads, develop strong teams covering Retail Business, Institutional Business, Family Office, Operations and Investments in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong.
• Grow Singapore as the centre of excellence for research and investments for Group Asset Management
• Grow AUM and profitability for Group AM pillar.
• Build and grow a strong family office business.
• Drive development of new products
• Boost Islamic business via existing channels as well as through new Islamic product offerings to improve Islamic retail fund ranking.
• Retain and improve unit trust ranking in Malaysia.
• Drive the overall PRS business within RHB Asset Management Malaysia in line with the aspirational AUM target of the management / Board

Future Business Development

• Grow alternative investments capabilities
• Grow capabilities in fund raising from international institutional investors
• Expand strategic partnership for AM, Trustees and Wealth Business.
• Develop digital platform to drive business to business and business to client across the region.
• Engage with key stakeholders effectively.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure tasks are being performed in accordance to internal as well as regulatory guidelines and/or policies.
• Satisfactory audit rating.

Succession Plan

Coach and groom identified internal potential successor(s), to succeed the role of the Chief Executive Officer for RHB Asset Management Sdn Bhd and for all entities in Singapore and Indonesia within the direction of the management / Board.
