Description

Primary Objective:
  • Manage and lead the Group’s business planning, budgeting and strategic review 
  • Monitor the performance of the Group and its various businesses
  • Lead and provide advisory towards the Group’s investor relations activities and its annual rating process

Key Responsibilities:

Performance Management:

  • Lead the monthly/quarterly management reporting process to provide performance review for GCFO and submissions to GMC
  • Analyse performances by business pillars, with close collaboration & input from BPA/ functional teams
  • Form strategic relationships with SBGs & SFGs to meet their needs and requirements
  • Coordinate and collaborate with BPA/Functional teams to deliver performance report and cost allocation methodology which includes charging to the respective entities
  • Review the business drivers and cost drivers of the Group and business pillars, and make recommendations for improvement

Planning and Budgeting:

  • Manage & coordinate the annual business planning with the SBGs/ SFGs, which includes producing the annual budget and  projections & forecast by business pillars
  • Forecast & Budget, which includes planning, execution and finalization of the Group’s forecast and budget
  • Preparation of presentation for GMC and Board
  • Coordinate and work with the business to link the business plan to the strategy, identify key priorities and  initiatives, and conduct assessment on the viability of such priorities and initiatives

 

Capital expenditure review:

  • Review and challenge the business case for each capex request to confirm viability and compliance with Group rules
  • Coordinate with business and functions on the tracking and reporting of capex, including post-implementation reviews
  • Responsible for the design, operational effectiveness and documentation of the capex management process

Investor Relations:

  • Lead preparation of materials for quarterly analyst briefing sessions including presentation decks and press releases, as well as for the AGMs
  • Support GCFO in delivering Group messages at analyst / investor meetings, conferences and roadshows
  • Lead preparation of relevant materials for conferences, roadshows, conference calls and investor meetings
  • Perform a comprehensive competitive analysis, including financial metrics and ascertaining RHB’s standing in the industry
  • Oversee the communication between the group and the investment community
  • Coordinate the annual update of group rating by the domestic and international rating Agencies
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - Professional or Degree holder in accounting.

- Any accounting professional certification (e.g. MICPA, ACCA, CPA, ICAEW)


7 years with minimum of 4 years supervisory role

  • Able to articulate issues and provide analytical review on the reports produced
  • Pleasant personality with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently
