Description

Primary Objective:

 

The job holder is expected to be independent, meticulous, customer focus and multi-tasking to lead the Trade & Operations team and peers when discharging the Bank’s daily operational matters which includes:

 

  • Process customers’ remittances (SWIFT inward & outward), deposit taking / withdrawal and monitor customer transactions monitoring;
  • Process new account opening applications;
  • Holding the roles of Investigator & Supervisor in AML system for investigating and closure of alerts;
  • Holding the role of verifier profiles for SWIFT system;
  • Conduct periodical reviews for customers including the preparation of CDD, EDD & PEP forms.
  • Key liaison person with the depositors and ensure queries are attended promptly and professionally;
  • Ensure the Bank, Labuan FSA/BNM, other enforcement bodies’ guidelines, directives, legislations are adhered to;
  • Supervisory role for Bank Trade and Trade Flow transactions (LC advising, OBC, BG/SBLC etc);
  • Manage Bank’s nostro a/cs and ensure no overdrawn in the a/cs, funds are available for loan drawdowns and work closely with Treasury for any FX, MM, customer deposit placement and Islamic commodity trading.
  • Prepare / check periodic & ad hoc reports for regulatory, HO reporting in relation to deposits, bank trade, treasury, remittance etc
  • Handles any system enhancements or implementation affecting RHBL (eg Bank Trade, BDS, MCA, AML, SWIFT, E-Invoicing etc)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide support to SH of Transactional & Support on the following :-

 

Treasury & Customers’ Transactions Processing

  • Liaise with Group Treasury on treasury matters which include FX, MM, long term funding, customer deposit placements, Islamic commodity trading etc
  • Process customers’ SWIFT funds transfers (inward & outward) as per written instructions from customers;
  • Check daily system reports and advices, provide daily reports to Treasury on cashflow and funding positions;
  • Process all bank trade transactions (BG/SBLC, OBC, LC advising) with GTC KL/ Sabah for customers.
  • Authorise transactions in MCA System (customers’ Deposits, FX), BDS System (Remittance), SWIFT (remittance/ SWIFT messages) & Bank Trade System (Trade transactions).
  • Monitor movement of USD & other nostro accounts balances, including arranging for remittance/ loan drawdown based on instructions from customers and Lending department and maintain a positive balance in the accounts at end of the day.

 

Relationship Management Alliance (RMA)

  • Process RMA request and establish RMA with other FIs.

 

Account Opening for customers

  • Process a/c opening applications by customers & attend to customer queries /requests.
  • Perform high risk account review and keep depositors records up-to-date (eg shareholders, directors, signatories, ultimate beneficial owner/senior management, PEP and CRS info)

 

Management and Monitoring

  • Monitor customers’ transactions to ensure they are not connected to money laundering/terrorism financing and conduct review on high risk deposit customers periodically and ensure LFSA Guidelines on AML/CFT, AMLATF Act, Bank’s guidelines are adhered to.
  • Timely and accurately report Suspicious Transaction Report in BNM FIS system.
  • Implement new guidelines / requirements eg SST, FATCA, CRS, PDPA etc and to ensure in compliance with the legislations/ directives.
  • Prepare/check  periodic & ad hoc reports for Management, Treasury, Head Office & Labuan FSA;
  • Monitor movement of USD & other nostro accounts balances, including arranging funds for loan drawdown;
  • Act as Investigator and Supervisor roles in AML system and to close all alerts in timely manner.

 

UAT for Operation Systems

  • Attend systems upgrade or new systems implementation requirements (eg BDS, MCA, Bank Trade & AML), including UAT.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree - Economics, Accounting, Finance or Banking.



Minimum 5 years’ experience at a financial institution – remittance, trade services.

  • Meticulous, proactive, able to work independently and strong problem solving skills.
  • Possess strong background knowledge of Labuan banking legislations, guidelines and practices.
