Description

Primary Objective:

  • Strategize overall fraud risk management activities for the Group;
  • Lead development and implementation of fraud risk management framework/policies/ guidelines for the Group;
  • Provide analytical review and report on fraud trend/modus operandi and recommend appropriate fraud risk control/mitigations for the Group;
  • Drive assessment & thematic review on effectiveness of fraud risk management for the Group;
  • Coordinate cross business/function/entity fraud risk related matters/events for the Group;
  • Develop and maintain effective rapport as key liaison with regulators and enforcement agencies;
  • Drive and coordinate implementation of fraud risk awareness programs for the Group;
  • Provide advisory on fraud risk perspective for new and existing product and process reviews to facilitate identification of potentially material fraud risks.
  • Manage the overall BRO/BRCO programs to ensure its effectiveness.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all material fraud risks incidents are managed comprehensively and highlighted to relevant senior management and Board committee(s) appropriately as an effective oversight of fraud risk for the Group;
  • Lead discussion and knowledge sharing on fraud risk matters/events within the Group to continuously enhance fraud risk management capabilities;
  • Provide an oversight to ensure that material fraud risks are identified, reported, monitored and managed with appropriate corrective and preventive actions taken in line with the Group’s fraud risk appetites;
  • Active participation in review of proposed business fraud processes (new and changes) with focus on adherence to the Group policies and adequate identification of material fraud risks;
  • Represent the Group and maintain a sound rapport with industry, regulators & enforcement agencies to ensure effective intelligence availability and support.
  • Analyze and assess fraud data to identify fraud trends and M.O. and escalate potential high-risk fraud risks;
  • Implement and maintain robust fraud risk awareness programs for the Group including to prepare and disseminate Awareness Bulletins and Fraud Alerts to staff highlighting and creating awareness on fraud cases;
  • Coordinate cross business/function/entity fraud risk related matters/events to ensure the fraud incident is managed and mitigated comprehensively;
  • Manage the overall BRO/BRCO program by ensuring periodic assessment of the BRO/BRCO capabilities and effectiveness; including setting and evaluating the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), facilitation of training and engagement programs and conducting forums to discuss issues and improvement initiatives.

- IOR – Institute of Operational RiskCFE – Certified Fraud Examiner


  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Operational and/or Fraud Risk management in an established financial services institution.
  • Good knowledge of Incident Management and with strong understanding on fraud and internal compliance breaches matter.
  • Able to provide guidance and advisory to business on fraud related matter.
  • Excellent analytical, oral and written skills.
